Achim is strongly shaped by its transport links. The A1 and A27 meet at the Bremer Kreuz interchange, and logistics firms, distribution centres and wholesalers have settled in the town's business parks accordingly. Alongside them works a solid base of trade businesses serving customers between Bremen and Verden. The digital tasks follow that structure: stock and shipment data that have to move reliably between systems, ordering routes for business customers that work without phone calls and spreadsheets, and websites that bring in orders and skilled staff. Many of these businesses work to tight time windows — a system that stops overnight is noticed first thing in the morning.
A distribution centre in Achim rarely needs a classic shop, but almost always needs interfaces. If you pick and ship for online retailers as a logistics provider, you receive orders from other people's shops and report stock, tracking numbers and returns back — automatically, on a fixed schedule or triggered by events. Wholesalers, on the other hand, want their business customers to order through a portal instead of having orders retyped. Both start, with us, with a look at the process on site: we look at the warehouse, the flow of goods and the existing systems before we talk about technology. Often it turns out that a clean interface achieves more than a new front end.
B2B shops with Shopware 6 are what we build for wholesalers and manufacturers in Achim — with customer prices, volume tiers, several buyers per account and approvals. The connection to ERP and warehouse management is part of the project, as is OCI or punch-out if your customers order through procurement systems. If you also sell to consumers, you get a B2C channel in the same system. After go-live we keep looking after the shop: we read the logs, check imports and the message queue, test patch releases on a staging copy and maintain the plugins. As a Shopware Extension Partner we develop missing functions ourselves. The SLA in the maintenance contract sets the response time — 24, 8, 4 or 2 hours.
When a website in Achim has to be more than a business card, we build it with TYPO3: for logistics firms with location and service pages in several languages, for employers with constantly changing vacancies, for businesses in which sales, HR and management each maintain their own section. The basis for new sites is TYPO3 v14 LTS. If an older version is running, we plan the upgrade path after an audit, with a test instance and a switch-over only after testing. Under maintenance we evaluate every TYPO3 security bulletin on the day it is published, apply security patches via staging and keep extensions and the PHP version current. For a small tradesperson's site, on the other hand, we sometimes recommend WordPress.
From Oldenburg to Achim is around an hour via the A28 and A1. Process review, kick-off and acceptance take place at your premises, as agreed, ideally with a look into the warehouse. In between we work remotely in a structured way: fixed contacts, video calls, a ticket system with a traceable status. By phone we are available on +49 441 21 21 63 0, Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 16:00 CET. Hosting runs on our own Proxmox servers in Germany, with a separate environment per project, staging and daily backups. We have no office in Achim or Bremen — development is based in Oldenburg.
