Osnabrück is the regional centre of an area that makes a lot and moves a lot. Automotive suppliers, mechanical engineering, paper and metal processing, food production in the surrounding Osnabrücker Land — and logistics in between: at the Lotte interchange just west of the city, the A1 and A30 motorways meet, linking the Ruhr with the North Sea ports and the Netherlands with Berlin. Many of these companies sell to business customers, whose purchasing is increasingly digital — through shops, electronic catalogues and procurement systems. Supplying them takes systems that work with ERP, merchandise management and the buyers' procurement platforms instead of sitting next to them.
Osnabrück also has a strong university and services landscape: a university and a university of applied sciences, chambers of commerce, associations, training providers, hospitals. These organisations often run large websites with many editors, sections and audiences — prospective students, members, patients, specialists. What decides success there is not the design at launch but whether the editors still like working with the system three years on, and whether it keeps getting security updates. Osnabrück thus combines both sides of our focus: B2B commerce with interfaces on one side, extensive TYPO3 sites with permissions and approvals on the other.
For manufacturers and wholesalers in Osnabrück we build B2B shops on Shopware 6: customer-specific prices and framework agreements, customer hierarchies with several buyers, approval workflows, an ERP link for items, stock and orders. If your customers order through their own procurement systems, we connect the shop via OCI or punch-out. The more interfaces a shop has, the more the care afterwards matters. Under the maintenance contract we test every update against your integrations before it goes live, monitor imports and the queue, and respond to incidents within the time agreed in the SLA — from 24 hours down to 2 hours in the highest tier.
In Osnabrück we use TYPO3 for chambers, associations, hospitals and industrial companies whose web presence goes beyond a business card: several websites in one installation, areas for specialist departments, tiered approvals, multiple languages, accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA. New projects we build on TYPO3 v14 LTS, whose free support runs until mid-2029. Existing installations on v12 or older we bring there along an upgrade path, with extension analysis and a test environment. As part of ongoing care we check every security bulletin, apply patches to staging first, keep PHP and the database current and test backups for restorability.
Oldenburg and Osnabrück are about an hour and a half apart by car. For the kick-off, workshops with purchasing, sales or IT, and the sign-off we come to you by arrangement; integration projects in particular benefit when everyone involved sits at the same table once. Development then continues in Oldenburg, coordinated through a ticket system, video calls and a staging environment where you can check every interim build. Hosting runs on our own Proxmox servers in the Hetzner data centre in Falkenstein, Germany. You can reach the team Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 16:00 CET, on +49 441 21 21 63 0.
