Vechta is a district town and university town in the Oldenburger Münsterland, a region known across Germany for its agricultural and food industry. Around the town there are poultry and meat companies, feed manufacturers, barn and plant builders, agricultural traders and contractors; elsewhere in the district, plastics processing and agricultural machinery manufacturing add to the mix. Many of these firms operate internationally while staying firmly rooted in the region. Their customers range from the farmer in the next village to large buyers abroad — and shop and website have to cover exactly that span, with different prices, languages and levels of detail.
The university makes Vechta more than an agricultural centre. Teaching and research, training providers, associations and institutions work closely with business and the region here. Then there is a question that affects the whole food sector: how do you explain animal husbandry, origin and sustainability clearly — to retailers, to consumers and to a critical public? That calls for websites that are more than a brochure: structured content, current news, downloads, and editors who can publish quickly without going through an agency. Technically that means clear permissions, clean approval steps and a system that is reliably maintained.
In agricultural trade around Vechta, a business often sells to two very different groups: farmers and resellers with terms, volume tiers and payment on invoice — and private customers who simply want to order feed, accessories or equipment. Shopware 6 separates the two through customer groups, price rules and, where needed, separate sales channels within one system. We build shops like this with an ERP link and then take over their care: updates tested on staging, security patches, plugin upkeep, checks on imports and backups. How quickly we respond to an incident is set in the SLA — 24, 8, 4 or 2 hours, depending on the tier you choose.
TYPO3 is the system for Vechta's larger information offerings: websites of institutes, associations, training providers and corporate groups that need many editors, tiered approvals and accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA. For existing installations we first settle the version question — v13 or v14 LTS — based on extensions, custom code and your plans, and build the upgrade in a test environment. In ongoing maintenance we assess every TYPO3 security bulletin, test patches on staging and then apply them live, with a backup beforehand and a verified restore. Your editors get help when they are stuck.
At about 45 minutes' drive, Vechta is easy for us to reach. Meetings in person are therefore simple to schedule: the kick-off, workshops on product range and processes, training for your editors and the sign-off — each by arrangement. Between those dates we work in Oldenburg and keep you up to date via the ticket system, video calls and a staging environment. Your systems run on our own Proxmox servers in the Hetzner data centre in Falkenstein, Germany, looked after by the same team that built them. We are reachable Monday to Thursday, 9:00 to 16:00, and Friday, 9:00 to 13:00 CET, on +49 441 21 21 63 0.
