For decades Celle has been a centre of drilling and production technology for oil and gas. Companies in this sector work internationally; their customers are rarely based in Lower Saxony. For the website, that means multilingual, technically precise, with data sheets and certificates that always have to be current. For the shop, it means spare and wear parts with long part numbers, orders from business customers on their own terms, deliveries to many countries. Both call for systems that a small in-house team can maintain without help from an agency.
Every visitor knows the other side of the town: the ducal palace, the half-timbered old town, the Südheide heathland on the doorstep. Hospitality, retail and cultural venues depend on being found online — with opening hours, events and offers that can be updated without any coding. Then there is Celle's long equestrian tradition around the state stud, which has grown its own scene of breeders, riding equipment suppliers and service providers. A shop for riding equipment has different needs from one for drill pipe: size and colour variants, seasonal ranges, consumers instead of purchasing departments.
In Celle, Shopware 6 covers both cases: the B2B shop where a buyer abroad orders wear parts by drawing number, and the B2C shop with variants and shipping rules for consumers. The ERP supplies prices and stock, the shop sends orders back — through interfaces we develop and maintain ourselves. After launch the shop stays in our care: security and patch updates tested on staging, plugin maintenance, monitoring, backups with restore tests. You choose the response time for faults — 24, 8, 4 or 2 hours — via the SLA tier in the maintenance contract.
In Celle, TYPO3 plays to its strengths where several languages and many pages come together: at an internationally active engineering firm as much as at culture and tourism providers whose content several people maintain. We build new sites on TYPO3 v14 LTS and bring existing installations up through a planned upgrade path — with an extension review, a test instance and a short switchover window. Maintenance afterwards covers security patches, minor updates on a fixed schedule and upkeep of PHP and the database. A major upgrade is not part of it; we cost that in advance as a separate project.
To be honest: from Celle, Hanover is closer than Oldenburg, and it has plenty of agencies. What speaks for Sharpness is something else — the focus on Shopware and TYPO3, hosting on our own servers in Germany, and support from the same developers who built the system. For the kick-off and key workshops we are with you in Celle by arrangement; the drive from Oldenburg takes about two hours. Everything else runs remotely: video calls, documented tasks, a project status you can check whenever you like. We are reachable Monday to Thursday, 9:00 to 16:00, and Friday, 9:00 to 13:00 CET, on +49 441 21 21 63 0.
