Jever is the district town of Friesland and surprisingly well known for its size: for its castle and museum, its old town and the beer that carries the town's name all over Germany. Retail, restaurants and culture all benefit. Specialist shops in the old town sell to locals, to day visitors from the coast and increasingly to customers who know Jever from their holidays and reorder online later. For them an online shop is not a prestige project but a continuation of the shop by other means — with the same prices, the same stock and the same standard of advice.
As the seat of the district administration, Jever brings together authorities, schools, social organisations and clubs whose websites have to meet many demands at once: up to date, accessible, maintainable by several people. In the surrounding area, farming, trades and tourism on the Wangerland coast set the tone — between Hooksiel and Schillig hosts let holiday flats, and farms sell meat, dairy products and potatoes directly. Many of these businesses have a website someone set up years ago that nobody has updated since. That is where we come in: with a system that can be maintained and support that does not end at launch.
Where many hands work on one website, TYPO3 is the right foundation — in Jever, for example, at museums and cultural institutions with exhibitions and guided tours, at schools and social organisations, or at tourism associations that maintain an accommodation directory for the coast. Content is maintained in a structured way, editors get only the permissions they need, and several sites run in one installation. We build new websites on TYPO3 v14 LTS with accessible templates to WCAG 2.2 AA. Existing sites on v12 or older we bring forward along an upgrade path, with a test environment and cut-over after your sign-off. In maintenance we check every security bulletin on the day of publication and apply patches after testing.
Retailers from the old town and direct marketers from Friesland get online shops on Shopware 6 from us. We set up range, shipping and collection in the shop or at the farm the way your business actually works, and connect the till or merchandise management so that stock levels are right. Shopware 5 shops, which have received no maintenance since July 2024, we migrate to Shopware 6 including customers and order history. After go-live we take over support: tested updates, plugin maintenance, backups and a maintenance contract with an SLA of 24 to 2 hours response time, billed as a monthly fee on request.
Jever is around 50 minutes from our office in Oldenburg — close enough for us to come by arrangement for the kick-off, a workshop or training for your editors, and for a second meeting if needed. Development and maintenance run remotely; you can see progress at any time on a staging environment. By phone you can reach us Monday to Thursday, 9:00 to 16:00, and Friday, 9:00 to 13:00 CET, on +49 441 21 21 63 0. Without an SLA we handle requests in order of receipt within 48 hours during those hours; with an SLA the agreed response time applies.
