Delmenhorst has a pronounced industrial history: wool and linoleum made the town, and the former factory sites are still part of its townscape. Today the economy is broader. Retail, trades, service providers, healthcare and logistics shape this independent town between Bremen and Oldenburg, and many businesses are mid-sized and owner-managed. For web projects that means short decision-making paths, rarely an in-house IT department, and the justified wish that a system simply keeps running — even three years after launch, when the agency from back then may no longer be reachable.
Being close to Bremen is both an opportunity and a source of competition for Delmenhorst businesses. The catchment area extends beyond the town boundary, but so does the competition: anyone searching online for a specialist retailer, a tradesperson or a care service sees providers from both towns. A shop or website therefore has to hold its own through content and technology — fast loading, clear structure, pages that search engines and AI assistants understand. In a town as international as Delmenhorst, multilingual content is often part of it too, for example for advice centres, social organisations and service providers whose clients do not only read German.
For retailers in Delmenhorst the online shop is often a second branch. With Shopware 6 we build B2C shops that take stock levels from the merchandise management system and handle in-store pickup as well as shipping, and B2B shops for wholesalers and suppliers to the trades, with customer prices, framework terms and an ERP connection. If you are still running Shopware 5 — without vendor maintenance since the end of July 2024 — or a WooCommerce shop at its limits, we plan the migration with data transfer and a redirect concept. After launch the shop stays in our care: security updates after testing on staging, plugin maintenance, monitoring. In the maintenance contract, the SLA sets the response time, from 24 hours down to 2.
When several organisations in Delmenhorst appear under one roof — a provider running day-care centres, care and counselling, an education provider with a changing course programme, a company with several sites — TYPO3 is the right choice. One system, several sites, permissions that follow the organisation, content in several languages: that is what TYPO3 is built for. New projects we set up on v14 LTS; existing installations we bring there along an upgrade path, with a test instance and a switch-over only after testing. Maintenance means we classify new TYPO3 security advisories on the same day, apply patches via a staging copy and keep the PHP version and extensions up to date.
We do not have an office in Delmenhorst — our only one is in Oldenburg, around 30 minutes away via the A28. So nobody has to set aside half a day for a coordination meeting. Kick-off, workshops and acceptance take place at your premises in Delmenhorst or at our office on Edewechter Landstraße, as agreed. Development, testing and ongoing support we organise remotely, with a fixed contact and documented tasks. Our phone line, +49 441 21 21 63 0, is staffed Monday to Thursday, 9:00 to 16:00, and Friday, 9:00 to 13:00 CET. Hosting runs on our own Proxmox servers in the Hetzner data centre in Falkenstein, each customer environment kept separate.
